We are pioneers of energy recovery in Australasia, built on the belief that developing alternatives to fossil fuel usage is integral to maintaining a sustainable environment. Our focus on alternative energy plays a vital role in addressing challenges of sustainable waste management, as well as supporting a reduction in the use of fossil fuels.

As an international leader in resource recovery and alternative fuels, ResourceCo manufactures Process Engineered Fuel (PEF) as a finished product, from select dry non-recyclable material and not from municipal waste. This fuel offers a viable alternative to fossil fuels, including coal, supporting responsible use of residual waste to decarbonise high energy consuming industries.

ResourceCo also produces Tyre Derived Fuel (TDF) as a finished product, repurposing used tyres and conveyor belts for use in sophisticated, high-energy manufacturing environments and power plants. TDF, made from end of life tyres. has a high energy value (BTU) and lower greenhouse gas emissions than many other fuels, thereby offering industries an innovative way to decarbonise their energy consumption.

Tyre Recycling

ResourceCo’s tyre recycling business Tyrecycle delivers sustainable outcomes for end-of-life tyres otherwise destined for landfill. By recycling tyres, we reduce environmental impact landfilling, alongside reducing the consumption of virgin material, including fossil fuels. Tyrecycle is committed to enabling and promoting circular solutions across the tyre and recycling sector in Australia, offering an integrated collection and recycling service for end-of-life tyres.

As Australia’s largest and only national end-of-life tyre collector and recycler, Tyrecycle is an integral part of the ResourceCo Group, a pioneer and industry leader in resource recovery throughout Australia and in Asia. We provide a complete tyre collection and disposal service for waste tyres, scrap tyres, and used tyres from a wide range of industries, including auto brands, car manufacturers, and heavy vehicle fleets.

Our plants are equipped with advanced rubber re-manufacturing capabilities; proudly we collect in the order of 20 million tyres per annum with a recycling rate of 99%. The tyres we recycle come from a range of vehicles, including motorbikes tyres, cars, four-wheel drives, busses, tractors and trucks (including Australia’s largest mining truck tyres).

The 99% recovery rate is a result of our commitment to maximising the potential of every tyre, strenuous R&D and a continuous improvement program across our operations. Our goal is to recycle tyres into high-value materials for use in civil engineering, manufacturing, and new industries, supporting sustainability targets.

Operating for over 30 years, Tyrecycle has established an unrivalled material traceability and chain of custody service as we work closely with our feedstock partners to provide the peace of mind that their ‘waste’ isn’t being wasted.
