ResourceCo’s new Virtual Toolbox is proving to be a game-changing efficient and effective way to communicate with our contractors and team members.
Developed and deployed this year, the Virtual Toolbox has been described by outside users as “the best tool in the industry to provide effective communication to external third-party contractors”.
This comes after ResourceCo joined with Delcon on the recent Suburban Rail Loop Project in Melbourne, with ResourceCo adapting its Virtual Toolbox style driver communications to be used as an induction tool for drivers.
ResourceCo HSQ Manager Steven Patrick said the success of the tailored digital inductions outline the agility of this form of communication with drivers.
“Providing the best and most effective service for our clients is our goal at ResourceCo and receiving this positive feedback outlines the potential of using this platform more broadly,” he said.
“Being able to communicate in such an engaging way with drivers spread out across vast areas is an invaluable resource and our videos give us the ability to ensure our drivers are up to date with necessary safety and logistical information.
“We are excited to see the continued growth in our Virtual Toolbox and the various tasks they can be used for.”
Delcon Civil Project Manager Rory O’Malley said ResourceCo’s Virtual Toolbox induction was able to assist with overcoming issues regularly seen on these types of projects before they occurred.
“One of the greatest challenges we have on site is passing an understanding of our project requirements to personnel who spend limited time on site,” he said.
“Usually with a package of works similar to the one just completed with ResourceCo, in which approximately 90 drivers are involved, there’s always a risk of non-compliance if communication is ineffective.
“All of the drivers Delcon representatives spoke to were aware of key project requirements and were well versed in the site conditions thanks to the tailored digital induction.”
ResourceCo’s virtual toolbox is made possible thanks to our innovative Matex system which keeps drivers, allocators and customers up to date with live job data in an easy to use application.
