ResourceCo’s commitment to quality is exemplified by upgrades at its recycling and waste facility in Brooklyn, Victoria.

The wide-ranging upgrades have seen an increase in the capacity of crushing construction and demolition waste at the facility, while also further improving the quality of ResourceCo’s recycled aggregate products.

Improvements to the site also included work focussing on ResourceCo’s commitment to environmental performance as part of the Brooklyn Recycling Group’s Better Environment Plan.

ResourceCo Recycling and Waste CEO Brad Lemmon said the upgrades were part of ResourceCo’s ongoing investment in its facilities across the country, with benefits already being recognised by a range of stakeholders.

“Quality processes and products are a priority of ours and we’ve been pleased to receive positive feedback about the materials we’re making since the upgrade,” he said.

“It was an important investment for us to make to ensure the plant continues meeting ResourceCo’s high standards when it comes to output, reliability and cost structure expectations.

“The task now is to continue to work with the team at Brooklyn and at our other sites across the country to make sure we maintain the high standards we set for the products we make and the services we deliver.”

ResourceCo Environmental Development Manager Mitchell Bacon said the Better Environment Plan played a key role in guiding recent changes made at the site.

“Last year we emphasised our commitment to environmental performance by signing the state’s first Better Environment Plan with EPA Victoria as part of the Brooklyn Recycling Group,” he said.

“The Better Environment Plan is all about ensuring we are setting a high standard for our environmental performance, while engaging with key stakeholders, and this guided some of the upgrades at Brooklyn.

“A key aspect of the plan has been working to ensure our dust mitigation strategy and actions at the site are effective.

“We have also worked with Brimbank City Council to assist with maintenance and removal of problem trees along our exit gate boundary to improve visibility exiting the site which has been a long-term issue within our precinct.”
