ResourceCo is set to continue its successful partnership with the internationally renowned Adelaide Equestrian Festival for a second consecutive year.
Held from 1-5 May 2025, the Adelaide Equestrian Festival is Australia’s premier equestrian event, staged throughout the picturesque and nationally heritage listed Adelaide Parklands.
ResourceCo’s continued support in 2025 includes being the community initiative partner, enabling free community access to the opening day, alongside the supply of recycled materials as part of the course development.
Following a successful trial last year, ResourceCo’s sustainable rubble materials will again be used across bitumen laneways, bike tracks, and major crossings such as Wakefield Road and Bartels Road. The 100% recycled material makes for a durable, eco-friendly surface that provides excellent footing for competitors galloping at high speeds.
Over 500 tonnes of specially designed recycled material, combined with a top dressing of sand, were used in 2024 to create sustainable surfaces, representing a major step forward in the quest for sustainability in global equestrian events.
In 2025 the partnership will enable the same community access opportunities as 2024 with opening day visitors able to enjoy world-class equestrian competitions, explore the diverse marketplace trade stalls, and experience the ATCO Kids Corral, all without the need for an entry fee.
For ResourceCo, the partnership goes beyond product supply—it serves as an opportunity to directly engage with the community and showcase their ongoing commitment to positive resource recovery outcomes.
“ResourceCo is proud to again support the iconic Adelaide Equestrian Festival in achieving its community access and sustainability goals,” said Brad Lemmon, CEO of ResourceCo’s Recycling & Waste operations.
“By supplying recycled material for the event course, and enabling free entry to the opening day, the Adelaide Equestrian Festival is demonstrating that sustainability and a truly world-class event can go hand-in-hand.”
Looking ahead to 2025, ResourceCo is once again playing a pivotal role in ensuring the Festival’s success by supplying products that will help transform the heritage-listed Adelaide Park Lands into a world-class equestrian course.
“We are thrilled to partner with ResourceCo for a second year,” said Kirsty Marston, Festival Director.
“Their commitment to sustainability, community impact, and innovation plays a pivotal role in making the Adelaide Equestrian Festival a standout event in the global equestrian calendar.
“Their support ensures that we can offer this incredible experience to the public for free, while also making significant strides in reducing our environmental impact.”
