ResourceCo now offers infrastructure projects a pathway towards Green Star Ratings at its South Australian and Victorian resource recovery facilities.

ResourceCo’s South Australian sites in Wingfield and Lonsdale, and Victorian sites in Brooklyn and Hampton Park have been verified for compliance against the Green Building Council of Australia’s Construction and Demolition Waste Criteria.

This means customers who send their construction and demolition waste to ResourceCo’s Green Star-verified facilities will be eligible to obtain a credit towards their Green Star Rating.

ResourceCo’s Manager for Environmental Development, Mitchell Bacon said this opportunity further cements ResourceCo’s commitment to delivering benefits to both customers and the environment.

“Supporting Green Star project ratings is another proactive step we’ve taken to help our customers deliver circular and sustainable outcomes,” he said.

“By responsibly managing your waste at one of our Green Star Construction and Demolition Waste Reporting Criteria verified facilities, a project can be eligible for a credit towards achieving a Green Star rating.”

This comes after ResourceCo recently launched its Environmental Product Declarations, which provide independently verified and quantified data on the environmental impacts of a given product at each stage of that product’s lifecycle.

Enabling projects to complete the full loop of circularity, ResourceCo’s suite of environmental credentials provides its customers with circular solutions for both the construction and demolition phases of a project.
