With developing markets leading to the increasing importance of environmental performance, we’ve developed new tools to support our customers’ decision to use our sustainable products and services.
With a longstanding commitment to circularity and extracting the full value of resources, ResourceCo receives and processes construction and demolition waste materials, including asphalt, concrete, bricks and rubble, along with glass, into a range of recycled products for future construction and infrastructure development projects.
As environmental credentials and emissions reporting emerge as key requirements in federal, state and local government procurement policies and tenders, ResourceCo recognises the need for our customers to be equipped with tools that can provide evidence of their environmental performance.
As a result, we have developed Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to support you and your clients towards improving your sustainability performance.
These EPDs provide independently verified, quantified data on the environmental results associated with a given product at each stage of its lifecycle. This is a critical tool as organisations embark on the measurement of their Scope Three emission impacts.
What is an Environmental Product Declaration?
An EPD provides independently verified, quantified data on the environmental impacts associated with a given product at each stage of that product’s lifecycle.
The data presented in an EPD is generated through a process called a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), which tracks the processes, inputs, and outputs involved in each step of the development of a product and calculates a quantified environmental impact at each stage.
ResourceCo engaged a sustainability consultant to undertake the LCA study and the results have been independently verified by PINDA Life Cycle Thinking.

Green Star certification opportunities
ResourceCo can support the achievement of a Green Star Project rating by responsibly managing waste at our Green Star Construction and Demolition Waste Reporting Criteria verified facilities.
In becoming eligible to provide our clients with a Green Star credit, ResourceCo has been through a rigorous process of obtaining a Verification of Compliance for our resource recovery operations.
ResourceCo’s South Australian sites in Wingfield and Lonsdale have been independently verified for compliance against the criteria, meaning customers who send their waste to either of these facilities will be eligible to obtain a credit towards their Green Star Rating.
